Commissioning Engineer, Southfield, MI

Summary: Plans and coordinates activities concerned with installing and commissioning equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties.


  • Conduct commissioning for projects and products, conduct equipment start-up and debug.
  • Verify hardwired installation, debug controls hardware and software.
  • Record baseline data, mark up drawing changes.
  • Assemble, debug and adjust the electronic and electro-mechanical portion of machines during assembly process.
  • Forecast project schedule.
  • Produce daily site reports.
  • Provide standby and customer support.
  • Provide training on company products to customer representatives.
  • Support and supervise field personnel.
  • Support and supervise selection and controls of suppliers and Purchased Equipment vendors.
  • Assist with installation supervision as needed.


  • Associates Degree in technical discipline, (B.S. preferred) plus 5+ years of experience in automotive or machine tool manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens S7 PLC and C+.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical and pneumatic skills in machine tool and test.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and suppliers.
  • Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time, including some international travel.
  • Must be available for extensive overtime, sometimes on short notice.
Engineering Test Technician, Hudson, MA
Facilitates the execution of engineering tests, machine build and commissioning, and the efficient use of test facilities and capabilities in a fast paced environment.
  • Work as part of Engineering team to manufacture, assemble, troubleshoot and test various custom designed machines and test articles.
  • Support engineers in design development and analysis of engineering tests, and production of machines.
  • Lead and complete assigned tasks and projects to meet customer requirements and expectations within time and budget constraints.
  • Resolve issues, report observations and results to customers and engineers with high degree of quality and professionalism.
  • Keep test facility and operational areas in order, and maintain equipment and work area in compliance with 5S protocol.
  • Prepare and store necessary test documents in AS9100 standard.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • HS diploma; (Associates degree or vocational/technical training desired).
  • 1-5 years of experience in relevant field.
  • Electrical skills/experience favorable.
  • Computer literate, MS Office Suite.
  • Some knowledge of 5S, ISO 9001/ AS9100.
  • Good verbal and written skills in English.
  • Must be able to read engineering blueprints (mechanical required, electrical desired).
  • Some travel required, sometimes international.
Lead Quality Control Inspector, Hudson, MA

Summary: Serves as technical expert for the dimension inspection of all customer critical rotating parts and specialized custom tooling. Responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the complete inspection process, including CMM programming, data management, and workflow management.


  • Inspect manufactured components using mechanical inspection tools and digital inspection equipment
  • Plan inspection activities by reviewing work operation sheets, blueprints, and customer drawings
  • Accountable for current operating policies and procedures in the Quality Management System
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on all inspection equipment, track calibration due dates
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and professional demeanor
  • Interface with Project Managers to schedule requirements and inspection detail
  • Keep abreast of new developments relative to inspection and industry trends


  • HS diploma or equivalent (degree in vocational trade school preferred); plus 5 years of experience as Quality inspector
  • Experience in Lead inspector role
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical blueprints and drawings
  • Experience programming CMM machine (Zeiss preferred)
  • Good shop math skills
  • Strong PC skills and communication skills

Mechanical Technician, Deer Park, NY
Summary: Performs activities concerned with the building of prototype balancing machines and large assemblies. This is a UNION shop.
  • Performs mechanical assembly of machines and related sub-assemblies
  • Works with Engineering Department in resolving issues of prototype builds
  • Performs basic facility maintenance
  • Performs spray painting,
  • Performs crating/woodworking
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as welding and basic wiring
  • HS diploma or equivalent (some college in a technical vocation preferred); plus 1-3 years of experience building machines and large assemblies in a prototype environment

Parts Technician, Deer Park, NY
Summary: Works closely with Sales and Service groups and other internal team members to support customer parts needs.
  • Handle customer spare parts inquiries and orders courteously and promptly.
  • Coordinate spare parts inventory.
  • Research machine history and drawings for spare parts quotes.
  • Process parts orders in SAP, including shipping.
  • Maintain contact w/ customers and expedite orders as necessary.
  • Coordinate spare parts markup and sales pricing within company guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years of practical experience in machine parts sales, customer service and/or resource planning, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret machine parts drawings and bills of material.
  • Strong PC skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word; must be able to learn SAP.
  • Must possess good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in high volume, fast pace environment.
