Flexible Rotor Balancing

Focused on flexible rotor balancing theory, this seminar breaks away from rigid rotor balancing in order to explore the dynamics of flexing rotors and the methods used to balance them. The topics covered target rotors where resonance and critical speeds are a concern and draw upon the core theories and fundamentals of balancing. During this course, balancing demonstrations are selected based on real case studies.

Other topics include:

Principles of rotor dynamics
Flexible rotor definitions
Balancing machine support systems
Flexible rotor balancing speed selection
Rotor flexibility test
Low speed balancing procedures
High speed balancing procedures
Types of flexible rotors
  Critical speed determination
  Balancing corrections in multiple planes
High speed balancing machines and software
  Bode and Nyquist plots

Note:

Available upon request as an on-site seminar.
