 Todays highspeed machine
tools have the capability to provide greater speed, higher
accuracy and better quality. But, while these machines
offer impressive advantages,
accuracy requirements can only
be met if tool, toolholder, and spindle are precision
balanced. As operating speeds increase, forces resulting
from unbalance cause nonsymmetrical rotation. The results
are harmful vibration, increased tool chatter, poor surface
finish and excessive wear on the tool and spindle bearings.
The
Tooldyne SV2 is specifically designed to provide precision
results in the shortest amount of time for a wide range of
tools and toolholders. A pneumatically actuated "quick
change" mechanism automatically draws the tool into the
spindle to accurately simulate operating conditions and
provide the repeatable fit necessary for precision
balancing. Units come equipped with an easy to use,
menu-driven balancing software for dependable results
regardless of operator experience. As an option we offer a
PC, with Qwerty keyboard, which includes software and
graphics that enhance the balancing operation.
