Schenck Balancing Machines for Pump Impellers
Balancing pump impellers is
necessary to ensure a quality product with a long life
cycle free of problems and
down time. Among other
things, balancing is critical for minimizing vibration
and
increasing bearing life.
However, a balancing operation can also be a time
consuming and costly operation, unless modern equipment is
used. In order to streamline operation and reduce
cost, Schenck has developed a complete “PI” Package,
machines instruments, and tooling software for balancing
of pump impellers. Our PI Package begins
with our proven hard-bearing balancing machine design.
Hard-Bearing Balancing Machines for Pump Impellers . . .
Schenck hard-bearing balancing machines are
permanently calibrated for an
entire range of impellers to reduce setup time and
eliminate the need for trial runs. The hard-bearing design is typically more suitable
for measuring unbalance at lower speeds which is a big
advantage in saving acceleration time and drive power,
especially for larger impellers.
|
In addition our hard-bearing machine s feature:
- lmmediate measurement readout after the first
run regardless of the size, weight or speed of the
rotor.
- A rugged industrial design with no
loosely fitted joints, bridge locks, or other moving
parts subject to damage by wear, chips or dirt.
- Rigid rotor supports to more closely
simulate actual operating conditions
and handle large initial unbalances.
When coupled
with Schenck CAB instrumentation rotor setup is fast and
easy. Simply select the balancing mode, the position of
the correction planes relative to the supports, and
input the rotor dimensions. The file can then be saved
and used for the same rotor type from that point forward!
