Applications Engineer
Deer Park, NY

We are currently seeking an Applications Engineer with solid sales and marketing experience to support our vibration analysis products and services.  The successful candidate will have experience with electrical engineering and electronics, with some mechanical ability.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide technical and marketing support to our field sales force, including agents and representatives

• Provide technical support directly to customers.

• Generate proposals in response to inquiries and requests for bids.

• Analyze customer needs to determine which system or unit best suits their requirements.

• Support customer and educational services, and field sales with presentations and other documentation for respective product lines and industries.

• Seek out new applications for existing products.

• Coordinate presale demonstrations and trade show exhibitions including procurement of equipment, set-up, demonstration and discussion with potential customers.

Qualifications:

• BS in engineering (BSEE preferred) and 3-5 years of sales experience in technical goods and services

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts, machine components and drawings

• Strong technical writing and PC skills required

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with ability to analyze and reason through on technical issues 

• 30% travel required
